Nurturing Tomorrow's Farmers: SBL's Kilimo-Viwanda Scholarships 2023

As part of our Sustainability strategy, Society 2030: Spirit of Progress, the Learning for Life program continued its commitment to empowering Tanzanian farmers through our Kilimo Viwanda Scholarship program at the recent program launch in St Maria Goretti College of Agriculture in the Iringa region.

Since its inception in 2020, the Kilimo Viwanda Scholarship program has benefited over 300 students in regions such as Kilimanjaro, Iringa, Kagera, and Coastal areas. This year, we proudly continue this journey by awarding scholarships to 65 new students, marking our steadfast dedication to cultivating the next generation of agricultural experts.


More than just a scholarship, the Kilimo Viwanda Program is a catalyst for change. It goes beyond education, enhancing efficiency and ensuring the adoption of sustainable agricultural methods. In doing so, we contribute not only to the development of individual futures but also to the overall prosperity of the agricultural sector in Tanzania.
