SBL turning the Tap on through Handeni Water Project Handover Celebration.

Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) has allocated Tshs 380 million to support the construction of a significant water supply project in Handeni district, Tanga Region. This project will provide clean and safe water access to more than 2,000 people in the region. SBL's Managing Director, Obinna Anyalebechi, emphasized the company's commitment to sustainable water resource management during the project's launch ceremony, recognizing the importance of this precious resource for present and future generations.

The Deputy Minister of Water in Tanzania, Eng Mary Prisca Mahundi, praised SBL's initiative as a timely contribution to the government's efforts to enhance water availability in water-scarce rural areas. Tanzania aims to increase clean and safe water provision in rural areas to 85% by 2025. Through its Water of Life program, SBL has been actively involved in implementing 25 water projects in various rural parts of Tanzania over the past decade, benefiting numerous communities with free access to clean and safe water, reflecting the company's dedication to making a positive and lasting impact on both the environment and the lives of the people it serves.
